A clinical trial was completed at Scripps Memorial Hospital in La Jolla, California and conducted by a respected team of doctors: Dr. Joseph Shurman, Dr. Brenda K. Wiederhold, Dr. Roger Kasendorf, Dr. John Qian, and Dr. Mark D. Wiederhold.
The renowned pain management doctors conducted the controlled trial with 30 patients (diagnosed with chronic knee, shoulder, or back pain) recruited at two San Diego area chronic pain clinics.
Each participant was provided a daily log to report their pain, stress, and daily use of the Oska Pulse. Pain and stress scores in the daily logs were based on a 10 point scale, and participants were sent home with either an Oska Pulse or a placebo device. Both patients and investigators were blinded as to real or placebo Oska device.
Oska Pulse as Part of the Treatment Process
On the first visit, your chiropractor, podiatrist or occupational therapist will start with an assessment. It is crucial to understand the causes of your pain first, before recommending a treatment pathway.
Our initial assessment includes:
- Understanding your life and work situation, your overall health history and how your activities may have affected your health or caused part of the symptoms.
- Reviewing previous treatments you may have tried.
- Defining your overall health objectives: in other words, what do you expect from your treatment here at Burswood Health?
- An orthopaedic and neurological examination
On the second visit, you will receive a Report of Findings. It summarises your diagnosis and looks at treatment options. Then we look at the treatment plan that will help you reduce the pain and move towards your goals and objectives. If Oska Pulse pain relief treatment is part of that journey, then Burswood Health is one of Perth’s most experienced providers of integrated chiropractic/OT care providers, so you will be in good hands.
